Jalpaiguri Tea Estate Cottage is a Three Bedroom Cottage. Jalpaiguri is in the state of West Bengal. The estate is very picturesque & located within the Baikunthapur forest, beside the Teesta River.

With two forests on either side, The Tea Estate is never short of a nature's delight. Home to variety of butterflies and pristine waters flowing through, the Dooars forest trek is not to be missed. Bagdogra Airport is 40 kms & New Jalpaiguri Railway Station is 25 kms are the nearest airport and railway station to Saraswatipur Tea Resort.

The Estate is surrounded by very dense woods, the greens & a gushing river. The Tea Estate is located within the Baikunthapur Forest, in Dooars. The forest is an amazing example of bio diversity and is home to deer, elephants and multiple species of snakes. These forests surround a water reservoir called Gajaldoba which is formed by the Teesta Barrage. The reservoir is ground for numerous species of water birds, which come all the way from Central Asia and Ladakh. These are, the Great Crested Grebe, Little Grebe, Greylag Goose, Bar Headed Goose, Lesser Whistling Duck, Common Shelduck, Ruddy Shelduck, Cotton Teal, Eurasian Wigeon, Common Teal, Tufted Duck, Spot billed Duck and many others.

At the estate you get a personalised service. The Tea Estate was established in 1917 & is one of the oldest estates. The Tea Estate has a heritage of over 100 years in growing and manufacturing tea. The Estate has an area of 1016 acres under tea plantation, which produces 1000 tonnes of Black (CTC) Tea and 300 tonnes of Green Tea annually. In the peak season, the estate employs 1200 workers daily. A visit to the tea garden & factory is a must.

You can enjoy Cycling tours within the estate. You can also have a nice swim in the swimming pool, which is kept very clean.  Table Tennis, Carom & many other indoor games can also be played. Even relaxing in your room with amazing views of the tea garden & reading a book from our library, is a nice way to spend your day. A Tea Tasting session can also be organised to appreciate the diversity in teas. You could purchase Black (CTC) and Green Tea produced freshly as souvenirs of your heady experience from the Estate's Tea Boutique.
